Dear Parishoners,

I hope you all have been staying safe and healthy during the Coronavirus pandemic. I have been praying for you all.

As you know, we have restricted the services to clergy and choir due to state requirements as well as a notice from our bishops to adhere to these requirements. I have been keeping in touch with our bishops and other clergy in the diocese to stay on top of things and to take the necessary measures to avoid any dangers from the Coronavirus.

That being said, although our state has deemed religious services essential (Thank God we still have the opportunity to serve the Liturgy in our church! Without the services, the world would crumble), I have heard some stories of people within ROCOR and other churches who have gotten sick. We will, therefore, have to be more strict at enforcing this rule of clergy/choir only. If anyone has any questions, please contact me at 954-600-1834.

Please be patient and stay strong. The Lord is merciful and sees our hearts. We will be providing links to live streams of all our services. Don’t become complacent during this time but use this opportunity to be peaceful, quiet and prayerful. Pray with us over the live streams. Yes, we will not be physically together but we are all connected through prayer with one another and with God.

Let us look forward to the time we will be together under St Luke church’s roof again. Perhaps this longing will help us ponder on the words of the Psalmist: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1)

May God keep you and bless you all.

In Christ,
Fr Demetrio
